Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert in the region and work as contact person for Trade and Customs
- Support the region/subsidiaries on understanding, management and application of customs & trade related documentation such as trade permits, COE, etc
- Support the region / subsidiaries with classification, based on national regulations/interpretations of the compliance and trade globally
- Conduct training on customs & trade compliance laws and regulations, as well as applicable policies and procedures APAC - based company associates and new hires
- Establish Customs and FTA requirements for countries within the region considering sourcing factories’ locations
- Prepare and deliver training programs for company’s employees and for the factories (T1) within the region regarding the Free Trade Agreements used by company worldwide and hold FTAs knowledge
- Support Global Customs & Trade Compliance team across various functions and geographies
Requirements
- Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in Customs Trade area from Consumer Goods, Luxury and related sectors
- Experience in HS (tariff) classification, customs valuation and country of origin Determination. Good knowledge of import/ customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties and taxes, International Regulations
- Excellence in communication and writing skills together with strong business acumen
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, with excellent time management skills
- Work as a collaborative partner across business teams regionally
