Job description

Our client, a global manufacturer (US MNC) of heat transfer products and services, specialized in developing resource-saving evaporative cooling equipment that conserves water and energy is looking for suitable talent to join them as Senior Project Engineer.

Position Purpose:

The Application Engineer is responsible for the promotion of Company products and applications within SEA, requiring frequent travelling in the region. This person makes sure that Company is known in the market by conducting product presentations, handling enquiries for key project stakeholders, finding and recommending the best solutions to their needs, thereby strengthening our relationships with them, and helping the customer to apply Company’s solutions in the project specifications.

The Application Engineer also plays an important role in transferring his knowledge and capabilities to our distributors and sales representatives in the region, effectively acting as a coach during the pre-sales activities.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Promote and present Company’s solutions to design consultants, end users and other key influencers in collaboration with the local sales team and representatives.
  • Keep track of frequently asked questions or product features, report this to the regional marketing team for future innovations and product developments.
  • Contribute and support with promotional activities such as tradeshows, seminars, conferences & etc.
  • Support the APAC marketing team with specific tasks such as competitive analysis and the creation of new or updated sales presentations.

Sales support

  • Support the regional sales team with handling enquiries, generating selections, quotations, and other documentation relevant to getting Company specified.
  • Recommend and guide the sales team to determine the right sales strategies for certain projects.
  • Lead or participate at bid clarification meetings.
  • Train the salespeople and distributors to become capable at delivering product presentations and using sales tools by themselves.


  • Master/ Bachelor in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of sales or customer-oriented experience.
  • An interest or experience in cooling technology and HVAC in particular.
  • Fluent in English, strong communication skills can lead & coordinate multiple projects and inspire colleagues. 
  • Problem solver with analytical mindset.
  • Stress resilience - can multi-task and work both rapidly and efficiently.
  • Good listening skills, ability to identify core issues and translate into certain needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and not shy to ask input from other stakeholders to drive a desirable outcome.
  • Quick learner, technical savvy
  • Good presentation skills with confidence.
