Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company has established itself as one of the credible players in the market, with business lines extending towards asset management, real estate, life research, and property management.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager shall oversee the entire regional HR function for Asia Pacific, by building a robust HR strategy and framework for the regional business units and group companies as aligned with the initiatives from the global headquarter in Japan. Leading a team of HR, he/she shall develop and retain good human talent through strategic initiatives pertaining to talent acquisition, total rewards, talent development employee relations, staff wellness, compliance, and other critical programs.

Furthermore, the incumbent shall have strong numerical acumen to oversee the Finance department and ensure that budget-related objectives match periodic budget progress, and coordinate work relating to external audit that aligns with the company’s financial records.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate shall possess a University degree or higher-level qualifications, with at least 15 years of prior supervisory experience in HR strategy, planning, and employment engagement. He/she shall have strong familiarity and market knowledge in the life insurance / asset management industry, understanding nuances and working closely with senior executives to drive positive change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with sharp commercial acumen to relate with multiple stakeholders are key in ensuring success in this opportunity.
