Our client is one of the world's leaders in trading & distributing a wide range of agri-commodities. Besides trading, they also work closely with the source, estimating more than 2 million farmers globally.
With the global climate crisis and efforts to reduce Green House Gas. Working with more than 2 million farmers working on more than 10 million hectares of farmlands. As part of the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability team, you will play an important role in developing sustainability projects and investments to decarbonize agri-commodity supply chains and improve farmer livelihoods while strengthening food and feed systems and ensuring business viability
Responsibilities
- Develop business models and financial projections to assist decision-making for sustainability investments, such as carbon project development
- Gather and analyze information related to farmers’ financial viability to support the development of livelihoods programmes
- Support budgeting and funding for the CR&S department and its programmes, including financial portions of grant proposal writing
- Develop metrics, methodologies and tools for measuring outputs and impacts, especially financial impacts to the company and to the target i.e. farmers and communities
- Support responses to inquiries from banks and investors
- Advise on problems and suggest improvements
- Identifying opportunities to automate data collection and management
- Generating insights from large amounts of data and developing practical systems for relevant business users to access and visualise data insights
- Collaborate with the CSO and CR&S unit leads - environment, social, governance and partnership development – on the above, as well as with specific businesses and other functions such as Finance, Strategic Investments and Business Development, and Treasury
Requirements
- Degree in Data Analytics, Management Accounting or other relevant disciplines
- Proven experience in handling large data with excellent data sourcing and analytical capabilities
- Skills in budgeting & profitability models would be an ideal
- Strong communication & presentation skills
