Director Business Process – Leading electronics manufacturer in Penang

Our client is a world class Swiss electronics manufacturer who provide a full range of electronics contract manufacturing services with state-of-the-art D&D & production facilities in Switzerland & Malaysia. They have a long and establishes history of providing design and manufacturing solutions to world-renowned OEMs, from concept to delivery to after-sales service, and offer their multinational clients the specific solutions they need.
With 2 plants in Johore Bahru, (work force of over 850) and a third plant under construction in Johor Bahru, the company also has a plant in Penang.
The Director business process (DBP) drives the continuous business process improvement in the group and leads the Group IS Strategy and IT application innovation in order to increase efficiency of the operation and customer satisfaction.

Job Description :

• The DBP drives the business process improvement in the group. He/She navigates between IBUs and different functions to build and promote an understanding of the best business processes and create awareness and ownership of the processes. He/She promotes business process standardization among the IBUs by rolling out best practice processes.
• The DBP optimizes, improves and simplifies the existing systems (SOPs, InforLN, EPMS, Quotewin, Teamcenter, CAPA, MES etc.) in close cooperation with the organization. He/She continuously improves the ERP software usage, achieves a good level of ERP integration, achieves high ERP user knowledge through group-wide organized documentation (SOPs) and user training and promotes the development of best practice common business processes.
• The DBP reinforces the role of CILs and Local Key Users( LKUs). He trains, coaches and empowers the CILs and Local Key Users (LKUs) and assesses, controls and supervises their performance in order to create and maintain an improvement organization which is geared for success.
• The DBP leads the Group IS strategy development and implementation.
• The DBP leads the IT application innovation. He/She elaborates annually the IT application strategy for the group together with the corporate management (CMM) and leads the group IT application strategy implementation. He/She contributes timely to the annual budgeting process with a precise IT application innovation budget and coordinates with the IBUs to include these costs in their respective IBU budgets.
• The DBP ensures information security standards are met by all business units within the group.
• The DBP is the Project Manager or is a member of the project team or steering committee of group-wide IT application projects.

• The DBP energizes the training on IT application and common processes in close cooperation with the HR organization of the IBUs in order to optimize the benefits of systems.
• The DBP sets the standards and guidelines for IT applications in order to reduce the group’s IT cost by means of standardization, consolidation, automation, high compatibility, flexibility, longer software life and avoidance of customization.
• The DBP is a charismatic sparring partner to the functional managers in the IBUs. He/She is the recognized business process specialist in the group and consults and advises the Corporate Management (CMM) and other employees in related matters.

Job Requirement :

• MBA
• 5+ years practical ERP experience (knowledge of Infor/Baan would be a plus)
• 5+ years proven process improvement track record in a reputed MNC
• Excellent knowledge of IT applications (ERP, CRM, DMS, shop floor control, MES, planning & scheduling, ...)
• Excellent understanding of the major business processes in a manufacturing company
• Motivational and leadership skills to coach managers both in Europe & Asia
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in perfect English language
• Result oriented working stile with a lot of drive & initiative
