Job description

Our client is one of the world’s leading food production company that supplies food products and commodities across more than 60 countries globally. They are a leader in food, feed and fibre with proven expertise, processing capabilities and a global origination footprint and we are partnering them to hire a Key Account Manager to manage the Modern Trade channels within the local and regional markets. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the category managers to help develop strategies and business plans to achieve their KPIs
  • Build strong in-store fundamentals via SKU distribution, in-store visibility placements and product availability.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with customers to give insights on Brand performance, progress on KPI and plans moving ahead
  • Maximize new product innovation with the retailers in-store to excite not only the retailer but also bring delight to the consumer’s shopping experience
  • Monthly business reviews internally to update management on key metrices such as sales revenue, profitability, distribution, status of product initiatives
  • Preparing volume forecasts by SKU by retailer with the supply chain team
  • Preparing monthly financial accruals by retailer, clearly indicating the activity type and period with necessary supporting documents.
  • Work closely with appointed distributor to coordinate order fulfillment, ensuring high service levels and fixing in-store issues. This often involve the KAM personally going down to store personally to address the operational issues.
  • Coordinating weekend in-store promotion activity. Ensuring Promoters have necessary approvals from HQ/Store managers set up their booths; having the stocks in-store for them to sell.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-7 years minimum Sales experience in FMCG industry preferably food & beverages
  • Prior working experience with Modern Retail is a must
  • Positive, resilient, with a hands-on, go-getter attitude, willing to test and learn in an unstructured environment. It is important the candidate understands in a start up environment, resources are very lean, and on many occasions, the sales team gets their ‘hands-dirty’ to firefight and fix operational issues in the store.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Needs to be very comfortable using MS excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree
