The Client:

My client is a global name within the lifestyle and retail sectors and has positioned themselves as a leader in product innovation. They have experienced exponential growth in recent years and are now looking to hire a Marketing Director to join and continue riding their growth momentum for the India market.

A key member of the senior leadership team, you will leverage strong understanding of the market, its consumers, and competitors to optimize marketing campaign performance and deliver excellent revenue results. The Director, Marketing is responsible for planning and implementing go-to-market brand campaigns and initiatives which drive brand momentum and relevance. This role will lead strategic planning and implementation of our marketing efforts to ensure both global consistency and local relevance. 

Reporting into the Vice President, Marketing Asia and Commercial Leadership, this role will be a significant contributor to the diversity of ideas and management talent required for its growth. People development responsibilities include selecting and training talent, delegating responsibility, motivating subordinates and developing a dynamic environment. This position will coach and lead the India marketing team, defining the structure and roles. As a team leader, this role will create a collegial team atmosphere, in which people work together enthusiastically and cooperatively to produce outstanding results.


  • Plan and execute GTM initiatives, leading strategic direction for holistic marketing efforts
  • Lead, manage, and grow a team of marketers while collaborating with external agencies
  • Liaise with cross-functional and regional teams to plan and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns to maximise brand presence and awareness
  • Leverage excellent understanding of consumer insights and global trends, with a keen awareness of digital innovation to ensure omnichannel brand growth
  • Develop annual marketing plans and lead all key business review meetings
  • Manage total country marketing budget, ensuring profitability and positive ROI on campaigns and engagements



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing within global fashion, luxury, or consumer brands
  • Existing experience in a senior marketing leadership position for the India market, with proven expertise in leading and growing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent understanding of industry trends and competitors within the India market
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Keen business acumen with the ability to identify gaps and opportunities in the market and drive actionable initiatives
