Job description

The Client
A well established Financial Institution providing offers a wide range of financial services covering corporate & institutional banking, wealth management, asset management, insurance, as well as retail banking and consumer financing through strategic partnerships.
 
The Role
The main purpose of this position is to guarantee the timely and accuracy delivery of P&L on a daily basis.
  • Providing daily support to and monitoring the daily and End-Of-Month P&L deliveries, including Official P&L, Step reval and Risk-Based P&L explains
  • Coordinating efforts required from P&L Production to answer queries received from P&L Management, Management Controls or other stakeholders
  • Acting as Point of escalation for P&L production supervisors as well as key stakeholders (e.g. FO, Finance, Risk)
  • Preparing and organising trainings for SMEs based in other locations or nearshore / offshore Production teams, expanding knowledge and enforcing best practices
  • Being involved as expert for projects affecting global Markets business lines, participating in testing and validation of changes
  • Facilitating the implementation of additional controls on the back of audit or regulatory requirements
  • Participating to the maintenance, review and prioritisation of issue resolutions affecting P&L batches.
The Candidate
  • Material prior experience working in some control function within an investment bank in an international environment, including some management experience.
  • Working experience with P&L explain (Step Revaluation as well as Risk Based Explains) and good knowledge / understanding of the risks.
  • Excellent understanding of the Front-to-Back chains within investment banks.
  • In-depth knowledge / understanding of fixed income products is essential for this position. Knowledge of the Credit business would be highly advantages.
  • A knowledge of derivative pricing and their drivers.
