Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of repair and overhaul activities for the Engine Accessories and Components Business Unit
  • Product portfolio comprises of Fuel, Air, Oil and Electrical components from Commercial and Military aircraft engines
  • Drive operational excellence to achieve goals in On-time Delivery, Profit Margins, Productivity as well as Quality and Safety compliance
  • Plan, implement and enhance production schedules and activities of WIP component jobs as well as allocate manpower and resources such as OT scheduling, reshuffling manpower based on job input and skill sets.
  • Monitor and control material flow and inventory to support production requirements. • Manage maintenance system of component test benches and equipment to ensure seamless production flow
  • Coordinate with various functions such as Sales, Customer Support, Materials and Engineering to provide component MRO support in key engine programs
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a production team of Workshop Engineers, Service Engineers, and Technicians
  • Develop production team towards self-driven and versatile workforce through cross-functional training and skills development
  • Ensure compliance of quality standards and regulations laid down by both commercial and military airworthiness authorities as well as respective component OEMs.
  • Promote a safety culture within the production team and coordinate all environment health and safety issues for the business unit to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement/ Kaizen /Digitalization /Automation initiatives to reduce cost and drive profitability.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering Degree with at relevant experience within Production Operations in the Aviation sector
  • Knowledge/experience in repair/overhaul of Mechanical components (Fuel, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) and/or Avionics
  • Knowledge of aviation authority regulations (CAAS, FAA, EASA, CAAC)
  • Knowledge and experience in component test benches would be a plus
