Job description

Join our dynamic team at the forefront of international credit management! As a Vice President in our International Credit Division (ICD), you will play a critical role in evaluating and sanctioning transaction proposals, monitoring counterparty credit risk, and providing strategic guidance. Work closely with our Business team to drive innovative leveraged finance transactions across Asia and Oceania. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our portfolio reporting and be part of a diverse and dynamic team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a solution provider and value creator for the Business by engaging in client and transaction discussions, influencing transaction structures, and mitigating risk.
  • Collaborate with the Business team on pipelines and potential transactions, presenting transactions in a concise and compelling manner to senior Business and ICD management.
  • Evaluate credit applications, internal borrower ratings, and transaction proposals for new or existing corporate clients, proactively monitor and track allocated portfolio, and work with the Business to formulate strategic mitigating actions.
  • Support ICD colleagues on corporate transactions and projects, drive new initiatives by the Business, and contribute to credit and policy guidelines.
  • Foster a collegial working relationship with all stakeholders, actively participate in meetings with the Business on transactions, and play a key role in term sheet, loan documentation, and ISDA/CSA review and discussions with Business stakeholders.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bring at least 7 years of corporate credit analysis and structuring experience within the banking/Big 4/advisory consultancy industry to the table.
  • Demonstrate expertise in traditional corporate lending and Leveraged Finance, including LBO/MBO’s and structured transactions.
  • Showcase experience in risk analysis and formulating well-founded recommendations on credit proposals across various sectors and countries in APAC.
  • Possess a deep understanding of different sector risk dynamics, drivers, and fundamentals, with an ability to apply this knowledge in the analysis of counterparty success factors and business and financial risk.
  • Showcase a strong track record of working collaboratively with Business partners, providing clear and early advice on risk appetite, due diligence requirements, and structuring, and contributing beyond credit risk management.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, deep analytical skills, and the ability to think laterally to find creative solutions and mitigations to risk issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to see the big picture on proposals, make clear recommendations while balancing all risk and commercial considerations, and exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Stay updated with external market trends and demonstrate a keen understanding of the market.
  • Be a decisive individual who listens and weighs up all views before formulating an opinion.
  • Showcasing the ability to share and escalate risk issues, along with proposing effective remediation plans.
